Rachael is a highly experienced Maternity Nurse with 25 years of childcare experience, including working with twins and newborns up to 4-year-olds. She is a native English speaker and enjoys reading, writing, cooking, and music. As a mature and experienced childcare professional, Rachael has extensive knowledge and practical experience in all aspects of childcare. Karen is a hugely experienced and flexible Maternity nurse and Nanny who has worked with newborns and children for over 17 years. She has worked with premature babies, extensively with twins, has worked with multiples and has first hand experience as a Mother herself. Karen has international experience and has had repeat bookings with families. Her reputation amongst her clients has lead to most of her bookings resulting from word of mouth. Karen took a gap in her childcare career where she took a more stable unrelated role to give her flexibility to bring up her own son. She has prepared for her return to childcare by fully updating her DBS, 1st aid and her OCN Maternity Nurse Level 3 all dated 2017. Karen is flexible to travel, work 24 hour shifts and is happy to extend her care to newborn and siblings alike.

Good in establishing an excellent routine to ensure that the infant is effectively feeding and sleeping (whether breast, formula or mixed feeding) and she is happy to give support and guidance to parents when necessary. In addition she is an outgoing person and enjoys spending time with the families she supports and work for however also know when to step back and give parents space to bond with their little one.
As a mum of twins herself she is aware of the importance for mums to rest and recuperate following childbirth.
