We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Travelling Butler to support a UHNW family across multiple international residences. This is a hands-on role requiring discretion, flexibility, and exceptional attention to detail within a fully staffed household.
Key Responsibilities:
Service & Hospitality
Deliver formal and informal food & beverage service
Prepare drinks (cocktails, juices, hot beverages)
Maintain impeccable table settings and service areas
Liaise closely with the Chef on daily service
Household & Organisation
Maintain front- and back-of-house standards
Manage inventories (tableware, beverages, service items)
Assist with light food prep and wardrobe organisation
Support and guide junior staff when required
Travel & Logistics
Travel with the family internationally
Manage packing/unpacking and wardrobe preparation
Prepare residences/hotel suites in advance
Coordinate with external providers for seamless stays
Coordination
Work closely with House Manager, PA, and staff
Welcome guests and oversee service readiness
Handle deliveries and household logistics
General Duties
Anticipate the family’s needs based on schedules, preferences, weather, and events
Assist with day-to-day requests, errands, and ad hoc tasks
Maintain high levels of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
Be confident with household technology, including AV and home management systems
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive gross monthly salary (paid over 12 months)
USD 50 per night per diem when travelling outside of the UAE
Discretionary annual bonus
Home leave allowance of AED 2,500, payable after 12 months of service and annually thereafter
Live-out position (accommodation is not provided)
Visa transfer or application costs covered by the employer
Cigna Category A UAE health insurance, provided after successful completion of a 90-day probation period
Employment under a UAE-based contract and employer of record
Working Schedule & Additional Benefits
Contracted for a 50-hour working week (no overtime paid due to senior salary level)
Flexibility required, with hours determined by the needs of the family/business
2 days off per week (days in lieu provided if unable to take scheduled days off)
Annual leave and public holidays in accordance with UAE labour law
UK or EU passport holder with no travel restrictions Minimum 5 years’ experience within UHNW or VIP private households in a Butler capacity Proven expertise in both formal and informal service, with impeccable presentation and attention to detail Strong background working within fully staffed residences, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with senior household staff Demonstrated experience supporting principals during international travel across multiple residences Highly organised with a natural ability to anticipate needs and deliver service proactively Confident managing wardrobe, packing/unpacking, and maintaining high household standards at all times Discreet, professional, and accustomed to operating within high-pressure, fast-paced environments Excellent communication skills and a polished, service-oriented manner Technically confident with modern household systems and AV equipment Flexible and adaptable, with availability for frequent travel and schedule changes
